CHALLENGE: The Owners lived on a bluff above the Willamette River but could only get to the river by a rope down a steep muddy path. Any access to the river required a land use review and permits from the Corps of Engineers.
SOLUTION: Bright Works provided a plan and went through the approval process. A series of low maintenance metal grate stairs, landings, railings, steps, and wood chip paths were constructed to navigated down the bluff to the river. At the desired location, piles were put into the bank and river to secure a new gangway and boat dock for the Owner's uses.
