CHALLENGE: The existing A-Frame home located on the north shore of Lake Merwin in Washington, did not provide enough room for the Owners studio or to share the home with guests. In addition, only a small portion of the beautiful panoramic view was utilized. The site requirements were that the perimeter of the existing foundation could not be increased.
SOLUTION: The house was totally remodeled to make the best usage of the allowed footprint and the wonderful view. The foundation was squared out to provide more area without increasing the perimeter of the foundation. The second floor was expanded and all areas are utilized. The view was maximized for all areas of the cabin. The Cabin exterior is a combination of fiber cement shingles, cedar trim, and metal roofing. The open interior features exposed beams, wood flooring, custom cabinets, and a traditional basalt fireplace. If you have questions or need information, call Bright Works today at (503) 697-7724.
